I'm hoping that this time will be the charm. I’m looking for a true companion who understands that trust and honesty is what it takes to grow into being “best friends” and more. She knows that kindness and empathy for others does matter to our souls. I think chemistry is very important and while many believe they can tell reasonably fast if there’s a spark, I believe “time” is what is necessary by “listening” and “learning” all that person is clearly willing to share which could then lead to having our worlds set on fire.
A family member wrote and sent me this: “Love should be as predictable as the sun; is constant, dependable and fun; love is unselfish and giving and knows the value of forgiving; it admires you and the things you do, a love that’s forever true; it is patient and kind; a love who shares what’s on their mind; a love honest at all costs; a love who is willing to give up everything and not count it as a loss; a love who will see our potential; a love who’s there even when times are detrimental; a love who won’t look down but always looks up to see the best in you; a love who never doubts I am the one; a love who’s committed to getting the job done.”
I’ve lived in Phoenix since 1981 coming from Iceland. My professional life was that of a military person (U.S. Air Force – Captain). I’ve also worked for the City of Phoenix and State of Arizona where I traveled quite a bit while performing in each of these endeavors and now, I’m joyfully a retired member of each.
My high school teacher once stated that the "Only thing in life that is truly yours” is "YOUR WORD". Everything else in life is given/provided to you in some way. Complements, pats on the back, etc. But how you are remembered most is how honest you have been to those you meet as you go through life. Were you a good man/truthful man or remembered by the lies you told and the people you hurt." I chose to listen to him and not be that deceitful person.
