The reason why I didn't say movies or mall is because the point of a date is to find out things about each other. Since first dates in my opinion should be light, it is good to spend them in less crowded places, with good music (live), good food (cafe, desert place) and in good weather...hopefully in an area where you usually enjoy yourself.
