Life and all existence is continually changing. Everything is subject to seasons: Summer, Winter, Spring, Fall, birth & death, youth and old age, happiness and sadness. Solomon said it himself " There is a season for everything." As such man must be accepting of this fact. For just as the ocean draws near and then withdraws so does the energy of things that man holds dear. These things have an ebb and flow, they will draw near and withdraw in varying degrees. What am I saying? That there may be times when man's strength is insurmountable and others when his strength seems to fade; times when he is inundated with oceans of wealth and others when he may have to scavenge for mere scraps. All in all man may incline himself to those things that he desires but must not find his worth in them. His faith, (through right thinking, right words and right deeds), will bring him great harvests but the harvest is subjest to a cycle. There is a time to sow seed and another to reap the harvest. When you sow, the harvest is yet to appear until the sowing is complete. Therefore I tell you, be a man of no reputation. Find not your value in wealth nor strength because those things are subject to seasons/cycles. Your value will waver just as they do. Instead find your value and identity in Spirit which is change itslef and such is constant and unwavering.
