I am a 36 year old African American female. I am 5"8 and weigh 250, which does not look bad on me because of my body structure and height but I am in the process of losing the extra baggage...I am not getting any younger :-) and it is not healthy. People often think that I am in my 20"s which always puts a smile on my face. I am a divorced mother of an 11 year old child and she is a true blessing. I am often described by others as being kind, compassionate, a good listener. I like all kinds of music with the exception of heavy metal and some country. I listen to easy jazz, contemporary christian, gospel and I currently own a collection of CD's I purchased from Time Life...70's classics. I like to read all types of books, from mysteries to Readers Digest. I enjoy the Discovery Channel, British based comedies, Seinfield, Kings of Queens, Law and Order, CSI, etc. I am currently learning how to bowl, which is pretty cool! My daughter and her happiness is very important to me. I enjoy visiting Wisconsin Dells, my goal is to hopefully visit a different state each year for vacation including Canada, England, France and Hawaii, before my daughter reaches 18 yrs old, which is approaching quickly! I hope to be an enchancement, helpmate and encourager to whomever the Lord has for me. I believe that communication is a must in any relationship as well as strong character. Integrity is a must, no cheaters, liars or those who find it hard to resist temptation need apply. I do not like a negative or hopeless spirit. I am the person who smiles and says hello in the morning... I guess I am a morning person. I have been described as a nuturing person even though I only have one child???. I believe in the power of prayer in all areas of my life, no problem is too small or too big for my God, I also believe in the old adage "the family that prays together stays together". I find that financial wisdom is a must for me as well as my future mate(I am speaking those things that are not as though they were...in faith!). I am not impressed by a man who can recite scriptures from the Bible verbatim but what does impress me is a man that lives his life according to the word of God. I am looking for a man that I can respect and reverence as well as a man who is going to love me as much as he loves himself. If my mate and I were to have a disagreement, I believe that we should be able to search the word of God for help and never go to bed angry. I want to raise my daughter in a God fearing and God Loving environment. I do not smoke and I do not drink with the exception of wine. I do not have to go out in order to have a good time, I can order pizza and watch a good movie and be content. I am not a great cook...sorry :-(. My goals in life are to finish college. Raise my daughter to be a beautiful woman, inside and out. To own property, let physical fitness be a active part of my life, travel, help others by usings my God given talents and finances. To be a tithe and financial giver to the house of God. Most importantly, to always let the Lord be the anchor of my ship for there is truly no one like my Jesus.
