I'm the woman men say they're looking for, but chicken out when they meet. I am not at all photogenic and so this picture does me zero justice. I may be pretty, but I have the brains to match. I am currently a student at Columbia. I moved to NYC from London last year to complete my BA.

I am double majoring in African American Studies and Creative Writing -- it is my dream to use my writing abilities to uplift children and teenagers of colour. In my free time I like to read, write, dance, loaf around the house in my sweats and heels (story behind that), listen to music, walk aimlessly around the city, embarass myself at karaoke bars, and hang out with my family and friends; I'm very fanily oriented.

I am also very keen on fashion and will soon be freelancing as a styling consultant. I LOVE clothes, shoes, and accessories -- a lot of the time I'd rather look at the garments than actually wear them! I appreciate the artistry of fashion more than anything.

So this is when I list my attributes. Here goes: I'm witty, smart, beautiful on the inside and out, compassionate, loving, caring, affectionate, funny, fun loving, often very silly, quirky, artsy fartsy, passionate, sometimes crazy(in a good way), sarcastic (it's the Brit in me) and above all...modest:-p

I hate these "about me" columns: whatever you really need to know about me you can only discover by meeting or talking with me.

I don't like cowards. I don't like unreliable people or those who say they're going to do something or that they want something, but turn around and do the opposite. I crave intellectual stimulation, and I approach life unabashedly and passionately. Strong men reply only please -- and please understand the TRUE defining factors and qualities that make a man "strong."

I'm not a woman who goes after money or power. My standards are high, but it is only because I respect myself and need to be with somebody I can also respect. In order for that to happen, I need to click with that person mentally and emotionally above anything. I want a person who, like myself, appreciates the small pleasures of everyday living, cares about the world and community around them and gives back accordingly, and a man who wants to actually EXPERIENCE this thing called life.
